Limestone fertilizer production line is a kind of fertilizer production line that uses limestone as the main raw material to produce fertilizer. The limestone powder needs to be heated to over 1000 degrees in the lime kiln to undergo the reaction called calcination, the by product for this process is CO2 and the formation of this reaction is CaO calcium oxide.
The first step of making limestone fertilizer is the hydration of the quicklime, the calcinated lime powder is mixed in the reactor to form Ca(OH)2 which is an important ingredient for making fertilizer.
In order to make limestone compound fertilizer, the Ca(OH)2 is mixed and blended with other raw materials nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), to form granules. The process flow of making limestone compound fertilizer including: granulation, drying, cooling, coating, screening, packaging.
1. The blended fertilizer mixture enters the rotary drum granulator to form granule.
2. The newly formed granules are fed into the dryer to remove the extra moisture to ensure the stability.
3. Materials coming out form the dryer enters the cooler to prevent moisture regain and cool the material down to the required temperature for further processing.
4. Unqualified particle are sent back to the granulator or crusher by the conveyor belt, and qualified particle proceed to the rotary drum coating machine.
5. With the combination of anti-caking agent and coating oil, the raw materials are coated therefore the resistance to moisture is improved.
6. The last step of making limestone fertilizer Is packaging, limestone based NPK compound fertilizer is being stored in bags or cans for distribution.
